The shoot for Vocaloid’s Magnet was a studio shoot at My Wedding Solutions. I started off using my own lights, but apparently the hire included three studio lights as well so we got into that. Very basic setups. [gallery] |

I did a shoot with Straw and Su for Basara on Saturday. Campbelltown is so far away, but it has a nice rock garden that nowhere else has (Fagan Park’s isn’t swept). I know this has been said elsewhere, but Straw and Su did extremely awesome Basara cosplays. We got some kids playing around in the area and a particular little girl kept asking “Why do you have to do this?”, posing a very interesting philosophical question. And in the end we were nicely kicked out. XD Most shots executed with available light. Some wider shots used the NEX camera with the 16mm lens. [gallery] |

Actually I didn’t have all the material I theoretically required for this shoot, but when my experiment turned out to actually work beyond my expectations, I decided to just go with it and get it over with. This is what it looks like. This is what it’s actually like. And I was lying on the cold and wet floor in front of the toilet bowl to get my shots. It’s not glamorous work, photography. Technicals: A550 with Minolta 50mm 2.8 Macro lens (AF). Remote flash behind umbrella. More information on the figure/shoot in my [blog post]. [gallery] |

On 7 July, we went to Bradleys Head, a very popular destination for weddings and such, to execute a shoot for Koi wa Sensou. As there photos were being used for something else (details soon, if you don’t already know it), I got them back this weekend and have just completed their processing. That day was in the middle of the week when I was doing engagement photoshoots for my sister and when we got to Bradleys Head, it was raining on and off, pretty heavily at times, but we managed to start the shoot after the rain let off, and the sky was gradually clearing. Still, being near the sea was pretty windy and cold. On a more recent note, most of my at-home time this weekend was taken up by processing around 1500 photos I took for a work function (experience/portfolio building exercise), and I also executed two shoots during the weekend which I will be processing tomorrow/Tuesday. The second shoot for Sunday is from the light novel/manga/anime franchise by Tsukasa Fushimi/Hiro Kanzaki/Sakura Ikeda called Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai (now that’s a mouthful). The character is said imouto (little sister), Kirino (by Ren), who is a tsundere otaku. Hopefully the above explains the presence of Dengeki G’s Magazine in some of the shots. [gallery] |
