Digital Release: Megami Creators 10
What you say? Best wallpaper ever! Well, this pic on the left has been resized and *cropped* to fit my desktop (plus various colour adjustments), so you should go on and customise your own too. In this post, I rave about the absolutely superior Megami Creators 10 magazine. I know I'm slow with this one, since I didn't get it until the other day. But as soon as I opened it, I saw that there was no way that this shouldn't be scanned. So I debound it and scanned it. [Download: Archive] [Directory]
I know I've previously covered the gist of what Megami Creators is about. But for me, this volume 10 of Megami Creators is absolutely kick-ass because it features the artists I actually know about.
Alright, I know some people like Naru Nanao. The first feature is obviously for you guys. Wheee. Then there's a rather funky section about mechs, from various Gainax series. A rather awesome illustration of Gainax mech girls from Eiji Komatsu (CO2A).
Actually, I should take this chance to profess that I have no idea if this issue has already been scanned by other people before. I know I've seen that mech girls pic floating around somewhere in high res (it was a scan for the poster). Also, this release doesn't include the big poster that comes with the issue, though the pictures for the posters are replicated in the magazine itself.
Then we get a rather boring look at Fortune Arterial. Too many words! But after that the goodies start, and we get off to a good start with the moody atmospheres of KEI.
And who should come next, but MITHA (Indico Lite)? A good selection of works by this artist, though I admit that I don't really follow Mitha, even though his/her (I think her) site is on my watched bookmarks.
No, the real good stuff is here. IT'S YUKIUSAGI!!! (I know I'm a bit over-excited, after all I knew since two months or so ago that YukiUsagi would be here). With an original full page illustration, AND in the two pages of "summary pictures", we have the illustration by YukiUsagi from episode 12 of DEJI E no Bunpo. Possibly the highest resolution currently available.
And then after that, who else but AMR's Akane Ikegami? I think the full page illustration is from a previous Megami illustration. After that, we have Senomoto Hisashi, and then...??
If you recall, my last post on BLADE was my review of Zealotic Blade Zero. And I mentioned something about how his web site is nowhere to be found. No website, no bookmark, no updates. Now we find BLADE has set up a website, but one which seems to be a placeholder page right now. Has like one picture. But it's something anyway huh.
Blah blah, Mai Hime, blah blah. Character design feature for Ooyari Ashito (NOCCHI)! Mostly from the upcoming PERIOD game. (Does anyone know what's the personal page for Ooyari Ashito?)
OK, at this point I must apologise for the rather weird scan quality for this release. It's not too bad, but more observant eyes might be able to tell that there are certain flaws with the scans. I'm still trying to work out the best settings for the batch scanning procedure. Though I've got the descreening thing down pretty alright (currently balanced between visible noise and details), there are problems with colour and contrast and stuff like that. I'm not sure how the consumer-level TWAIN gets the colours the way it does, and my current method doesn't seem to attain them. But I'll keep trying.
Individual lossless TIF files are available on request.

Hmm… I can’t seem to download the Archive.. It says that the file is not found.
thanks, i’ve fixed it now.
You should batch auto-contrast them with photoshop or something.
They look … “milky” !
As if they had white silk on them or something…
Awesome :O
Thank you for the wonderful scans! :D
Thanks for the scans! This is a fantastic issue indeed with so many big names in bishoujo art.
Keep the hunt going and looking forward to more of your elusive finds.
Moe.
Thank you for this scan
Oyari Ashito’s webpage is littlewitch.jp
good luck ^^
hey, very nice and detail site you have there ^_^
actually, i would like to ask a favor from you
the image by yukiusagi(http://www.pireze.org/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/01/yukiusagi1.jpg)
do you have the full version, which covers the feet(someone told me the feet weren’t cut off in the original version)
getten: check out the 36th image in this release, that’s where it’s cropped from. The feet were probably cut out in the image you linked because that was a showcase of what I was using for my wallpaper.
thank you thank you…..
didnt see the download -v-
i’ll keep in coming in this site ^_^
by the way, i forgot to say, i just realized that the showcase (the wall) is much cleaner (colorful) than the one’s in page 36……
just asking, do you have a bmp or png file of the picture (the person who asks for the image is picky)
if you dont have it, it’s perfectly ok. Thank you so much for all your help lately.
I did colour tweaking and all that for my wallpaper image, but if you really want it, I’ll have to rescan…and that’s only if I can find that page from my debound pile of papers.
Or you could tell the picky person to buy the magazine, or come here and ask for it themselves. :P
sorry to cause so much trouble
he hasnt give me any reply yet, so i guess i’ll have to see what’s gonna happen next
by the way, do you have tutorial for color that u did on the wall? it came out very nice…….i love it ^_^”
PS: did you buy the magazine in japan?
getten: have you checked out the latest post on this blog? It’s got the picture you wanted. Also, I don’t have a tutorial for the colours: I just set it for whatever looks nice, really.
I got the magazine from Japan, although I can get it from Kinokuniya here.
yea, i see……very interesting topic (eventhough i have nothing to scan with -_-l l l
anyways, thank you for all your help ^_^
