Two Classic Artists Revisited: Aoi Nanase, Maki Chitose

ava Too small to be a release, too significant to be ignored. Whatever am I going to do? I have all these things lying around which I am not sure what to do with. Y'know, covers of doujins, posters, etc which come by themselves. So I've decided I'm going to scan them and upload them anyway, hopefully grouped under some kind of overarching theme, but probably just random. So today, with two pictures, we revisit two artists that I have been besotted with since before this blog started: Maki Chitose and Aoi Nanase.

Aoi Nanase, we looked at again a few posts back with some naughty pictures. I got her colour doujin illustration book "Colorism", but dovac has it scanned already, so I won't bother. Here's my addition to the "Himegami" collection (Himegami being the new doujin 'group' by Aoi Nanase), confirming my suspicions of this artist's fall from "innocence".

This is just a doujin, so the rest of it is monochrome and therefore "not of interest".

And Maki Chitose, who has dropped off the scene for so many years, has, as previously noted (maybe), changed her style since the good old Strawberry Panic! days. She recently was part of a number of artists who featured in a series of stick posters called "Stick Poster in Ugo Machi (スティックポスター in 羽後町)". Some of the other stick posters are pretty alluring, but spending limits apply for me nowadays, so I controlled myself to just getting the one.

The scan didn't have enough resolution to justify leaving it at the original scanned size, so the stick poster was scaled down after processing.

...Dmyotic 3! I don't think there's a release date yet -- maybe the upcoming Comiket?

Wow, those stick posters look positively awesome, even though the price is a little steep.

And your comment reminded me – Comiket is in 10 days! Anything in particular you’re looking out for?

Now is that so? That was one of the reason I liked Aoi Nanase, no naughty stuff. Sorta like why I liked Mutsumi Sasaki.

Like I can ever go to comiket >.< blah… there must be some good doujin artbooks i’m missing by missing comiket :(

  3. [...] but I have one of them (unable to get the motivation to start trying to collect the whole set). I featured that one (the one by Maki Chitose) in August 2008. Anyway, I suspect the whole thing is a marketing drive [...]
