Comiket 72 Watch (Part 2)
The second (and last) part of the Comiket 72 Watch for this blog in many ways represents the best artists that I have my eye on. In general, the lower down you scroll in this post, the better the stuff gets. There is a major explanation about what's going on with Chocolate Shop, as well as up-to-date coverage on who will be where selling what. Of course, my favourite artist WNB MARK is covered at the end.
Tokiame (Sway Wind, Hi-53a, 19 August) will be displaying the "Carefree Scribble Plus" CD, which is an updated version of the original "Carefree Scribble" CD fro last year. It includes 2 new pictures (whoa!) and some other content.

Fumitake Moekibara (ZIP/ZIPPERSROOM, East A-83ab, 19 August) has very little information on the site about what's going on, but seems to be selling a "Quaint Mage's Anthology" (nature unclear) and a PurismxEgoist-based custom-drawn tapestry (or something).
TINKLE (Tinkerbell) has no information on site about what's going on.
REI (REI's ROOM, Shi-51b, 19 August) will sell a full colour 20 page illustration book called "Eternal Melody StrikerS", based on Nanoha (I think the original). Bundled with this will be a monochrome 8 page book "Lyrical Note 3.5". A 38cm squared paper bag will also be on sale. It seems some other minor artist will also be piggybacking his work in the stall, but no further information about that is available at this time (that artist's site seems to be a placeholder only).
Takanae (Takanae, A-02a, 19 August) will be selling the new "Darlin'2 FREEZE!!" 24 page ecchi doujin based on Lucky Star. Also on display will be a goods set with a Hayate no Gotoku-based ecchi doujin, a pair of clear stick posters, a clear shitajiki and a paper bag.
Miki Miyashita (Kyougetsutei, East 1 A-04, 19 August) will be showing off a new (loli) h-doujin "niania", as well as "Honjitsu no Kyougetsutei 5", a colour illustration and manga book which seems to be an update on works since "Citron Ribbon Extra". "Citron Ribbon 11" will be bundled with a paper bag (I think. That, or they share the same cover pic). Also on sale will be a face towel (!), as well as the old h-doujins "Engage" and "Sweet" (Code Geass, Euphie and Nanali respectively).
Masakichi (Crossroad/Kuro Sudou, East 2 X-16a, 19 August) seems to only have one work on sale, a h-doujin "Chika Kosu 4", a Sister Princess fan book focused on Chikage cosplay.
POP (ElectromagneticWave, A-57a, 18 August) will be presenting "Popcan S4 0708", which is touted to be "a book that collected the current illustrations" (sic). No word on page count or colour status. If it is colour it will be definitely worth getting as it should have stuff that the second POP artbook won't have.
Oono Tetsuya (PUSSY-CAT, East A-20a, 19 August) has a new work hilariously entitled "Pussy-Cat Kyounyuu Matsuri", which is doubtlessly h. It will be bundled as a goods set with a clear file, and a paper bag. There will also be a copy book, a chibi Prism Ark key case, as well as an anthology of 4-koma comics. Unfortunately the main display picture is h, so if you want to see what's on sale, you'll have to click through to the artist's site.
Yuuri Nishiwaki (Genshou Koubou, East )-15b, 19 August) seems to be getting her own space for the first time, and will be displaying "shamrock", a 44 page (32 pages of colour) illustration book.
Komi Zumiko (Nejimaki Panda, East Ha-19a, 19 August) will be carrying out a joint venture with Shishisu Neji, with a H-doujin "Shisu CHARE!" Zumiko's "Torokeru Yoru na BURUU" which seems to be a monochrome copy book of 20 pages, will also be sold, as well as "Seifuku C.C. SEIFUKU!", a previously published 24 page copy book. Some kind of novel will also be piggybacking on this stall.
Hato Rami (Hato no Tamago, East Shi-58a, 19 August) has a whole lot of stuff in the stall, with a new 34 page colour illustration (8 pages) and manga called "eco". It is an original story with loli x shota themes, and although not classed as an over-18 work as such, it will have one semi-nude scene (or something).
Also, "The Night male" which seems to be an incomplete monochrome doujin, will be available on a limited basis to buyers for the first time. There is a post-card set (4 cards) based on the theme of "Alice maid", as well as a double-sided round fan based on the same theme (one per person limit). "Kamosuzo", an 8 page planning book for "Pigeon Summer" will be distributed for free, although again there is a limit of one per person.
RAMI will also be selling previously-published works like the last post card set, "RAMI's Scrapbook 4" and "Pigeon Garden Collection Card #03".

URA-FUMIO (FMO, A-14b, 19 August) will be selling full colour H-doujins called "Spyder" and "Mata Tabi".
Mugitani Kouichi (Chocolate Shop, East Shi-29a, 17 August) will be making a double appearance, coming in on the 19th of August at East Shi-21a under the circle name "Houtai Shoujo" (bandage girl) in collaboration with Ototsugu Konoe and Yuzuno Asaki of ClosetChild (new artist for me: bookmarked).
It gets a bit complex. It seems that Mugitani Kouichi has participated as a guest illustrator in ClosetChild's "Cotton Garland", as well as as well as Shitoro Netto's new book. The Shitoro book will be on sale at West Re-63b on the 17th, and East Shi-50a on the 19th.
Anyway, on to the real stuff. This will be his last appearance at Comiket, and he is going out with a bang. "Gothic Lolita Mariage" doujin set has been set to 3000 yen price tag due to a rise in the quality of the figure and stuff (so he claims). The doujin itself is 18+ limited, 38 pages. From the previous stuff by him, it'll probably be loli, and involve pretty dark themes (real gothic).
The figure ("Dorothy") seems to have a detachable head which is compatible with Konami's Busou Shinki figures' naked bodies (I think only one in particular). The Busou Shinki figure bodies have articulation and stuff, and the head transferral process seems to result in a pretty cool figure, but of course no responsibility will be taken by "Chocolate Shop" for such operations, and there is no guarantee of compatibility either. Neither the Busou Shinki body nor the cool clothing which Mugitani has put on the figure in the photos, will be on sale on that day -- you'll have to find it separately.
We seem to have gone off on multiple tangents here. Back to the actual Dorothy figure which is gettable on that day (and I think Melonbooks/Toranoana will be selling it for a limited time after that). The dude seems pretty proud of it as it is the first figure featuring this particular gimmick. It is sculpted by T's System's Takeshi Miyagawa (one of the best sculptors in the industry). It has replaceable parts which allows you to change it between two modes: mother mode (where the baby is carried in the arm) and pregnant mode (big tummy).
(The nifty translation program translates it to "Egg Mode" and "Chicken Mode". WTF.)
Included in the package is the common parts, a normal body, a pregnant body, and the baby.
Compared to the previous doujin figure released by the circle, the Dorothy figure is 150% in size.
I don't know about you, but it all seems pretty wrong. Somewhere on his site, he says that (I think -- the translation program might have gone off the wire) the character Dorothy is 11 years old. A pregnant 11-year-old. What you say!
Last in this watch list, but definitely not least...
Mako Tatekawa and Setsu Yuena (WNB, Ko-49b, 19 August), will be focusing (as per usual) on the Fate series. A new 20 page all colour illustration book, "Mizore Iro Ehon"!

A 28 page monochrome non-H doujin "Candy Mint".
A Zero no Tsukaima Louise telephone card and shitajiki set, a Fate mug, as well as a Rin x Louise stick poster (event limited, limit one per person, given free to early arrivers if 1000 yen spent).

Other stuff from Comiket to watch would include the just-discovered ClosetChild doujin ring, as well as Keumaya's Doujin Figure Project (18th August, East Shi-60ab).
You might have noticed Itou Noizi isn't on this C72 Watch, nor is T2 Artwork's Tony Taka. That's because this blog is for Hunting the Elusive, and information about the new work of such popular artists is easily findable on the English internet (and thus not elusive enough, but that doesn't make them any less good). (Actually, I'm not sure if Itou Noizi has put out any information regarding C72, but T2 Artworks will be doing a Hayate no Gotoku theme this year.)
That's it for the watch list. Comiket opens in a few hours' time for its first day of trading. Most of the good stuff will be on Sunday the 19th, but there are some artists who are in the other days too. Good luck picking up the stuff!

Hm.. Most of the artists featured will be selling their goodies on sunday, with the exception of POP. Darn, getting these through YAJ or a deputy service would be tough and alot of money ^^;
Nice list. I will keep my eye out on some of these on Sunday.
That Dorothy doll is wrong. It’s all wrong.
That aside, nice list.
