Hunting the Elusive

So we continue looking at Comiket 77! In this post, there are some great artists, some truly big names and some truly skilled people in here. Of course, fair warning that clicking onto artist sites can lead to some NSFW material, so please watch your steps! At this stage, I think we might be able to finish on three or four parts. There’ll be a bit of a lag between this Part 2 (which was done concurrently with Part 1) and Part 3, because I’m going to be doing that tomorrow evening. It’ll be good, anyhow, gives more artists more time to get their information up.

Onineko

As always, Onineko doesn’t release stuff by him/herself. However, partnership with Nick-Ninth continues, with an 18 page full-colour illustration book to go with a CD.

Collaborating with CranBerry Crown, and Ohmiya (Happa), Colte, Hara*Rira, and 乃亜, they are releasing a 24 page colour illustration book called, uh…well, I can’t read the friggin’ title due to it (probably) not being in English and a cursive font. But the samples look really nice.

Wadarco

Ryuuga Syo

New publications include 18+ Love Plus doujin, Hunter + Hunter, also an 18+ doujin.

The 1500 yen goods set includes an A4 size full-colour illustration book, an A4 clear file, DS clear sticker, four postcards, and paperbag.

Nekoyanagi

Two new books, nature as yet unknown.

But it is likely, if we go by previous patterns, that one will be a full colour Chapeau book, while the other is a normal doujin.

Shigunyan

Wow, where to start? While Shigunyan does a lot of H stuff, the illustrations are really cute, so anything normal-ish, I’d probably pounce on.

First of all, there is a clear sleeves book (like a folder) for putting stick posters in. I currently use a combination of folders like these and also a box designed for storing stick posters. Touhou themed. Would have loved it if there were stick posters too.

Then there are two H stick posters, and a long paper bag for everything.

Three new books, but they’re all 18+.

Carnelian

This artist is sufficiently well-known that I don’t actually cover her a whole lot on this blog (similar in stature to Tony Taka, Itou Noizi, Suzuhira Hiro, Kantoku et al).

Benigyokuzui vol 25 is a full colour, A4 sized 18+ book with Bayonetta as the front cover. Other content includes Macross F, Nyankoi!, Umineko, Azumanga, Summer Wars, Evangelion, Persona 4 and Bakemonogatari.

Tsuki Rakuyou comes with a postcard. It is an 18+ book, with colour illustrations and monochrome pieces within.

Goods set includes a booklet, reversible bag, a snow dome calendar, and badges.

I am particularly interested in the snow dome calendar, which includes 12 interchangeable inserts which slot into the snow dome for every month. But it will probably be bid up pretty high on auctions.

There’s also a fairly ecchi rug/towel.

Suzuhira Hiro (Heart Work)

A decidedly ecchi microfibre towel.

“Usatan” necklace, with two guitar-pick charms and one mascot charm.

Coconut Bless

Utsura Uraraka

No word on whether the new book is full-colour – I have a feeling it’s not. It’s of Last Order and Accelerator from To Aru Majutsu no Index. There is also an A4 “clear file bag”, and a shitajiki.

Wow, and here I thought Tinkle wasn’t going to update any info on C77 (like what happens almost every time), but they did!

BiancoElDorado, a 1000 yen full colour book, unknown page number, but some of the cost could be due to the special paper used for the cover (like, silver paper for a mirror effect).

Limited edition of the book has a transparent card of the cover illustration (not sure what is meant here, maybe similar to the limited edition of the Byakuya Chakai book, which had a clear jacket).

2009 Winter Comi Goods Set is 3000 yen. It contents an A4 size clear box case, two clear shitajiki, a clear card holder, six clear cards of popular illustrations, put into the card holder, a Black Alice pen case.

Other stuff includes DSi clear cover/case and PSP3000 clear cover/case, limited goods.

Coffee Kizoku

In collaboration with MinusArtWorks.

White Blend is a 16 page full colour illustration collection if you just like Coffee Kizoku.

fablarisia MinusArtWorks – 1999-2009 – could actually be quite interesting, at 1500 yen, it looks like it could be a fairly substantial publication. It is also celebrating MAW’s 10th year of existence, having participated in Comiket since the 57th. Apparently, 136 pictures in full colour. Crazy stuff really, and MinusArtWorks is not bad at all.

As for SnowDrawingWorks4, I’m really not sure as to the nature of that one.

Coffee Kizoku will be reselling its C76 Clear Blend.

Itto Maru

No individual release known, but did illustrations for Hameln which will have a limited CD release for C77. The vocals are done by Hatsuki Yura, who is one of my favoured singers.

Capura L

Besides participating in ISW’s stuff, Capura, like a number of other artists, is also involved in various other things. Firstly, Recollect, a 24 page, full colour illustration book.

Collaborating with SOLOIST (Riv) for a goods set with book, two clear Touhou stick posters, a shiny book (not sure what this is), and vinyl bag.

Is also host to Capura’s friend “Yen”’s Vocaloid Bards book, but I have a feeling that won’t sell despite being full colour.

Other stuff Capura is involved in, include Touhou music CD by Re:volte, called Psalmodia. Also, various card games, which I won’t bother to explore.

Niji no Saki (Shimeko)

Shimeko is organising a Summer Wars publication, with around 23 artists in all. titled Toki x Summer x Wars, this is a 52 page B5 full colour book. There is also a related post card set.

BTW, this video of Shimeko doing an illustration seems to indicate maleness for this artist. It’s also interesting Shimeko’s utilisation (or rather lack thereof) of a computer to complete this work. Can I just say, is that awesome or what?

Chocolate Shop

The White Lion Extra Black, a new version of the Comiket 76 work, with a rework of the figure. He blames this on being busy. Fair enough, he has games to make.

I’m not even sure if the book will be anything new, actually. I’m more looking forward to the Ignaju Cross Gate Station The No.00 to be released 19 January, even though I don’t know what it is.

I’ll be happy if the Extra Black is actually a new book though. The White Lion’s colour illustrations were nice.

Sharing a stall with huke and JNT, redjuice will be participating in Miwa’s m.m.m.WORKS.

No new publication. There is a 16 postcard set to be had though.

I suppose I might as well take this time to talk about Miwa’s stuff, since we are in the supercell constellation.

m3wver.7+ce is an A4 size book with 24 pages of colour, 20 pages of monochrome, 1000 yen. It includes stuff collected from around 2 years worth of illustrations for DOGS.

The picture above is a colour clear file for purchasers of the book. I think I just want that…

Miwa will also sell a parker that staff at the stall will be wearing.

Holy crap. Parasol, a full colour illustration book, with a lot of Hatsune Miku illustrations, based on well-known songs. The samples indicate a KoiSen picture, which will be something to behold.

H2SO4 (Island of Horizon)

The Island of Horizon Selection stated in the picture is a book compiling stuff from the 2005 to 2007 era. Basically a republication of Last Summer Vacation, First Snow, Tropical Nights and Shiroi Hanabira, in the one book. B5 size, 34 colour pages.

Worth getting, if like me, you haven’t bothered to get the older doujins.

PutiDevil

P’s colors is a 20 page full colour illustration book. Comes with a event limited postcard of a KyuNoko.

Also, BRS set of badges, a set of three postcards, and chocolate shaped like KyuNoko.
