Digital Release: H2SO4’s World of the ‘M’ Concept Art Works
This 18 page book was released by Island of Horizon (H2SO4) on 16 August 2009 (Comic Market 76). At the end of it, the volume includes a copyright notice for 2006 to 2007 to Ntreev Soft, so one would thing that ‘M’, or whatever, is a game from the guys who brought us Panya or Trickster. However, my suspicions are that the characters and settings in World of the ‘M’ Concept Art Works are originals by H2SO4, be it for a now aborted game, a game in development, or an imaginary game. Despite this being mostly a character design book, with only two real “illustrations”, H2SO4’s stuff is sufficiently elite that it is worthy of a look, and besides, most of the character designs are of cute girls. Note the vignetting on the front cover which appears on the original. Words are in shiny silver, and we have the bright and very cute look which is signature of H2SO4’s art.
Back cover and inside of front cover:
The second “real” illustration, unfortunately not showing the face of the girl.
Then we get into the character designs, which really make up the majority of the book.
This is the character from the illustration above.
Then we get into some of the cuter characters here, with the elementalist.
Various elements are represented here, with the various colours of course.
More male characters…
The knight is also a favourite of mine.
It would have been great if H2SO4 had done these depictions in proper colour too.
There is so much potential here, especially in the bottom left of this group of images. I look forward to a more substantial work by H2SO4 for Comiket 77. :)

I must say, I’ve been waiting for an H2SO4 release for a while now. They haven’t even been updating their pixiv very often lately.
But you’re right about the color. As nice as the sketches are, H2SO4 is very much a color artist.
Hmmm…I wonder where I can buy this.
Great stuff! I especially like the rendition of the elementalist – her face in particular.
I see lots of loli ……
