Tinkle Double-Figure, Etsu, Tapestries

The post should have an alternate title, “icie’s rambling string of incoherently related thoughts”, or nonsensically acronym-ised to IRSIRT. Anyway, in this post, we cover some merchandise. Based off a 11 April post by Tinkle, because I have been lazy checking artist blogs recently.

Popular artist Tinkle (Harukaze Setsuna) has posted some small pictures on her blog of the new double-figure based on her illustration. As previously covered, it will be an E☆2 (えつ) preorder-limited item, with the requisite order forms and such to be included in Volume 19, magazine release date 29 April 2009 (figure release date as yet unknown). Takeshi Miyakawa (T’s System) is the sculptor of this fine prototype. My guess is they would probably be sold at around the 7000 yen price mark each, making for an outlay of 14,000 yen. Yikes.

In other Tinkle news, it seems she will be participating in Comic1*3, which is upcoming soon. If she has anything epic new for the event, then I will try to get it. Additionally, the tapestry she did for Rabbit Net has already sold out, despite being priced at 10,500 yen. You can expect it to go for much higher at auctions. Look guys, this caught me by surprise as much as it did you, but at that price point, I probably wouldn’t have gotten it anyway. Still, to have an original Tinkle tapestry (I believe they call it wallscroll most place) hanging on the wall? Daaaaaayuuuuummm.

(Rabbit Net also had a tapestry set from WNB, but economy = I can’t buy expensive stuff).

Oh, and speaking of tapestry, I will be getting a Ryo Ueda Aya (Touhou) tapestry after all (conveniently structuring the writing so this sentence comes right after the one where I complain about my poverty). Toranoana has it (and another variant of “Momizi”) up for preorder until 20 April. 9450 yen each. Yes, it’s another step towards making my room EVEN MORE psychotic.

Returning back to Etsu Magazine, they recently released Girls! Girls! Girls! Volume 3, which I will be reviewing soon. Early impressions? Nothing new if you have been following Etsu religiously (which is me), but good stuff for those who haven’t (which is most people).

You should really show off your room sometime (unless it’s in a post I missed). I can’t imagine how you could display all that stuff.

If he’s like me, he puts stuff in rotation while boxing the things that aren’t up for display. It’s the eventual course of things, I think. You either store them or you sell them once you get too many. It should be a sign that maybe I’m buying too much stuff but how can I say no when I know it won’t be there later down the line?

I am actually quite lazy, so most of it is in storage (I estimate around 3/4 are in cardboard boxes). I need to find a way to properly display the things.
