Also, looked into the matter of that Shimeko wall painting: The painting on the wall, and the person in the actual video, is by a niconico user called Lemon Water (レモン水）who is popular for making quite a few painting videos, and the wall painting is only based on Shimeko's illustration. Therefore, Shimeko's not the one in the video, and his/her gender is still wholly undisclosed in that video. However, I am inclined to confirm that Shimeko is indeed female due to the photographs taken on the photo blog posted on her website, such on <a href="http://www.alfoo.org/diary16/purin77/index.php?page=210" rel="nofollow">this page</a>, where there a picture with a decorated nail showing on the 2008/01/27 picture. They also have about <a href="http://www.alfoo.org/diary16/purin77/index.php?page=40" rel="nofollow">5 Ponyo charms</a> on their cellphone.
